A Day in the Life:

I woke up early. Charley was licking my nose. Bridget was on her exercise bike. I stayed in bed until she was in the shower.

Charley wanted his breakfast. I gave him an omelette and some toast.

Nick came in. He wanted to 'borrow' his breakfast. I gave him our bread. He went back to his apartment to watch 'Gladiator'.

I wanted some breakfast - but, there were no eggs and no bread. Oh well, never mind.

I heard the intercom buzzer. It was The Tarantula - our landlady. Ssh! Charley be quiet! Animals are not allowed! She said there were six boxes downstairs for Bridget and me. Our new shelves had arrived!

Hmm....those shelves were complicated. The instruction book was 200 pages long! Aargh! We needed help.

Hector was so kind...he said he'd help build the shelves!

Um, dear Hector worked for three hours but I don't think he understood the instructions. I think all those books will fall off again.


Nick arrived! He said, 'Pah! I laugh at instructions', and he ate three pages! Oh he's so funny!

He put up the shelves! I told him he was really clever! (Hector looked a bit sad). Bridget discovered there was no bread and went out to buy some more. I think she was cross because she slammed the front door... and the shelves fell down. Poor Nick! All his hard work!

Now, it's raining.. I've decided to prepare some hot milk and biscuits and sit in front of the television to watch my favourite programme 'Painting Animals'. We love it don't we, Charley? Hector likes it too. I can hear Nick in the bathroom, I don't think he's feeling very well - It must be something he ate!

Ah - and that's the front door downstairs. It must be Bridget. Oh dear, she doesn't sound very happy either.

A Day in the Life:

Saturday... woke up at 6.30 a.m. Kicked Charley off my bed. Did 30 miles on my exercise bike. Had a shower. Drank a glass of orange juice and ate one banana. Read 'Gym Goddess' magazine and watched a 'Lara Croft' video. It's unbelievable! Lara is me!


Checked emails. There were messages from John, Peter, Stephen, Kevin, Stuart and Simon. Oh boys! I've told you - it's finished! A message from my boss, Howard:'Gigi (my nickname)! Dinner tonight to talk about promotion?'

Nick arrived to 'borrow' his breakfast. I told him it had all gone. I was just showing him the front door when Annie appeared. She was awake at last! 11.30 am on a Saturday - how lazy! I couldn't believe it! She found the cereals I'd hidden in the bathroom and gave them to Nick!

At last it was time to go shopping. Goody!


Phew! What a shopping trip! I was exhausted! I bought a fabulous black dress, pink shoes and a wild handbag! On the way back, I went to the gym for a sauna.

The gym instructor asked me out. He's cute but 'no thanks' - he wears white trainers. I hate white trainers.

'Bridget...' said Hector. (I thought he was going to ask me out on a date!) 'Yes, Hector?' I said sweetly. 'You've got your dress on back to front,' he said. Er. Thanks. I knew that.

Woke up. Watched 'Gladiator'. Went to Bridget and Annie's flat. They were out. Checked my emails. No news from my agent about a part in a TV soap. I borrowed milk, bread and orange juice. Watched 'The Great Escape' - great motorbike stunts! Went back to my flat.

Went to the cyber café - checked my emails. No news from my agent about jobs. Went home and read motorbike magazines.


Hector and I went to Leo's Café where I saw that cute waitress again. She's crazy about me. I know she talked to Hector all the time but she just pretending to be interested in Argentina and she gave him her number just to make me jealous. Hah! She can't fool me!

Went home. Went to Bridget and Annie's flat. They were out. Worked out on Bridget's exercise bike. Put it on high speed! Borrowed coffee, biscuits and crisps.

Went to my flat. Hector begged me to watch 'Gladiator' again... His English is very poor. He said "I do not want to watch Gladiator again". I explained that he should say, "I want to watch Gladiator again". Luckily I am a very good teacher. Eventually I found the video tape in the bin.
I heard Bridget shout my name from her flat. She's crazy about me.

Went to bed.

A Day in the Life:

María (my nanny since I was a baby) wakes me with a glass of warm milk. She runs me a hot bath and puts my clothes for the day on my bed. I love María.

I have breakfast with Mother and Father. Father sits at the end of the table and reads aloud from the newspaper. I can never hear him because he is ten metres away.

We go to visit the garage. Our wonderful mechanic has prepared all 25 cars for me to drive. Mmmm...let me see...today I'll have the Aston Martin...no - the Porsche!

I have lunch with Father at his club. His friends are great but they are so old! He wants me to go into his business... but I want to be a stuntman. (He doesn't know that by the way).

In the afternoon it's time for The 35th Romero Polo Tournament....my ponies are on good form today and we win!


In the evening there's a ball at our house. Everyone is there: ambassadors, princes, actors, writers, musicians, politicians and scientists. They are very nice people and there are lots of pretty girls ...but after an hour I go out to the stables and talk to the ponies. To be honest - their conversation is much more interesting.
