Into The Wild

Még mindig a reggeli ébredés nehézsége a téma. Enyhén rendetlen a drága. Amikor reggel felkel az elõzõ este olvasott könyvek magazinok, a ruhája, minden szanaszét a földön.


Half past 8 in the morning. The phone’s
alarm starts to ring.
That sharp sound sets one's teeth on edge
I bury my ear in the pillow.
Lie back down and drag on for another hour.
I might fall back to sleep this way, thus
set the alarm once more.
Exactly 10 minutes later,
the alarm starts to ring again.
Ah, don’t feel like waking up.
Another 5 minutes, another 2 minutes, until I'm unable to drag any longer
what a pity for the early morning.
Yet after barely standing up
my eyes won’t open.
Like black disks, the puffy and swollen eyes
as if bearing a grudge, recklessly rubbing it.
Though the mind is clearer now. But
the body is leaning towards the bed.
With one eye close and another barely open
surveying the area.
The books I read last night are scattered all over the floor
even the clothes, leftover bread, magazines...
All look the same as they were yesterday
fortunately, I thought.
Gradually the morning brighten, slowly
the body feels more awake too.
Having a clearer mind, I picked up the shirt that dropped on the ground
wore it.
Then slip one leg into the jeans,
until the next one is in
once again a little time passed.
Getting up from the bed
going towards the toilet,
day by day, the repetitive morning scene.
