Ji Chang Wook is nominated in the Top Excellence Award (Male) category for his role as Ta Hwan in ‘Empress Ki’, along with actors Lee Seung Gi (You’re All Surrounded), Lee Jong Seok (Doctor Stranger), Kim Jae Joong (Triangle) and Yoo Ah In (Secret Love Affair).

Ji Chang Wook in Taiwanese Mingzhou Magazine Sep 2014 and Answers 40 Questions

Ji Chang Wook featured in Taiwanese Mingzhou Magazine no.202 Sep 2014 issue. During his Taiwan trip, Ji Chang Wook has to answers 40 quick questions over his daily life and career. Some of his answers are really hilarious.

Speedy answers of 40 questions:
1) Recent phrase that you always say?
I am hungry, I want to eat something (recently I am on a diet)
2) A food that you cant forget recently
Da chang mian xian (Taiwanese pig intestine noodles)
3) Food that you don’t eat?
If there is a food that I don’t like, its red carrots.
4) Dish that you like to cook?
I don’t usually cook, at most instant noodles or simple fried rice.
5) Besides exercising, how do you control your weight through diet?
I usually not particular about this, but if I have a project or photoshoot then I will be on a diet. I will eat brown rice with chicken breast and grilled beef jerky.
6) When you are nervous, what reaction will you have?
I will sweat and twist my fingers.
7) Do you have any special habits when you sleep?
I like to wear loose comfortable clothes when I sleep, I don’t have bad sleeping habits. Maybe sometimes I will snore or grind my teeth but its not too serious.
8) First thing you do after waking up?
Look at my mobile (smile), because I want to switch off the alarm and continue to sleep.
9) Bath sequence
Wash face, hair then body.
10) Use an animal to describe yourself?
Rabbit? My zodiac sign is rabbit, Taiwan has this too? Same as Korea?
11) Character flaws?
Impatient, the rash type. When we go out then I ask: wait, where are we going.
12) Character virtue?
I am action oriented, once I planned it I will quickly execute it. I am a easily contented person, I find that everything is good now.
13) What is your reaction when you are angry?
My face will turned red.
14) People around you usually remind you of?
Slow down, because I am really very impatient.
15) Which part of your body are you most conscious of?
Hair. Usually guys care about the hair a lot right? I have a lot of hair volume but usually I don’t look at the mirror and only check it in the washroom or when I makeup. Especially when I am filming, if the character needs to be abit ugly, its ok.I find that if I always look at myself, I will become more greedy so I don’t usually watch my own acting.
16) Most satisfied with which part of your body?
Eyes? However this Taiwan trip, my eye has a stye.
17) Do you like singing or acting?
Acting, but I like my voice so I like to sing. When I can sing the OST for my character, I feel good, since I understand the character the most.
18) Which angle do you like to be photographed?
I like to take pictures but my left and right face is abit different. I prefer the left side of my face.
19) Clothing that you usually wear?
My body frame is not small so when I wear suits it look quite smart but normally I am in exercise gear, I am more concern about the comfort of the clothing.
20) Must have fashion accessory?
Cap, My hair is difficult to manage and I don’t like trouble so I usually wear a cap out.
21) When you look at the outer appearance of a woman, where do you look at first?
Compared to the outer appearance, i am more concerned about the women's character and overall feel.
22) To you, what type of women is the most attractive?
A woman who can share the same thoughts as me (telepathy)
23) The way that you encourage yourself, the phrase that you tell yourself most often?
You can do it, you can do it very well.
24) Favourite sport?
Basketball, I can play quite well.
25) Your favourite past time?
Playing soccer with my friends, chit chatting over coffee.
26) If tomorrow is the end of the world, wat are you going to do?
I will go with my love one and people that i care about to eat delicious food. i really like to eat good food.
27) When you were young, what do you think you will do when you grow up?
I thought i will just go to a company and work after finishing school.leading an ordinary life.
28) If you are not an actor, what would you do?
I never think about it because besides acting, there is nothing else i really want to do.
29) If there is a chance to talk to your idol, what would you ask him?
My idols include those the actors that I have worked with, I have learned alot from them. I want to listen to their life story, and discuss about life experience.
30) Which project has been the most tough so far?
“Warrior Baek Dong Soo”, because there is alot of action scenes and we always shoot in some remote forest
31) The character that you most want to act?
I want to display more dimensions and try characters that I have not tried before.
32) Which movie had you watched the most?
I am not the sort that watched a movie many times. So far all movies I have only watched once.
33) The specialty you have that most people do not know about?
I can run well, because I am always working out, so my stamina is quite good.
34) If you are going to be trapped in a barren island, what 3 things would you bring?
A. My closest friend, alcohol and game machine.
35) Where do you go with your friends after drinking?
A. Eat rice balls, I really like to eat the korean style handmade rice balls, its really delicious.
36) If tomorrow you dont have to work, where would you like to go?
I want to tour around, take a look at the different places of Taiwan
37) What is happiness to you?
Although it is a simple 2 words, however the definition is different to everyone. In compared to having alot of money, I think it is important to be satisfied at the present moment. It will be good to have the thinking that as long as I have whatever that is infront of me now, I will be satisfied.
38) Which part of love do you enjoy the most?
When we are interacting, when we have alot of things to say to each other.
39) Which part of love you can’t tolerate?
When we are not communicating well.
40) One sentence for the future you in 10 years time?
Are you living well now? Are you happy? If you are happy then it would be good.
